Alert) Systems, the ‘MultiModem iSMS’ is a standalone, turnkey device that utilizes text messaging to send or receive data in a cost-effective manner. Types of data that can be sent or received via this intelligent SMS server include information, instructions, status updates or alert.
The MultiModem iSMS intelligent SMS server can integrate text-messaging communications into third party M2M communications applications through a flexible application-programming interface. This ready-to-use device can be plugged directly into the Ethernet network. It connects to the wireless network via an integrated quad band GSM modem.
In addition, the MultiModem iSMS features Web-based configuration and management, enables setup of up to 100 pre-configured messages, integrated quad-band GSM modems, flash memory to update firmware with the latest enhancements, and more.
Some of the ideal applications of MultiModem iSMS include - alerts for closings or other announcements, client appointment reminders, inventory level notices, remote field messages and threshold warnings.
