Alert), held in Barcelona this past February. Incorporating accessories for both security and home automation, users of HomeBox can view real-time video on a PC, or a mobile phone, and are allowed to monitor the automated or security sensors.
“We are proud to announce our new ‘MyHome’ solution and our HomeBox. More than just a launch, this is a genuine innovation brought to the market,” said Olivier Courtade, CEO of M2M Solution, adding that the product had already been tested by several telecoms operators, who would soon be offering new services to their customers in terms of home security, automation and multimedia.
The HomeBox is a complete ‘Plug-and-Play’ home gateway that is interconnected to a wide range of accessories, which vary from detectors and sensors in respect of security to relays and controls in respect of domotics. M2M is gearing up to bring energy management accessories, which would include the monitoring of electricity, gas and water usage, within its purview.
A white-label approach has been adopted by M2M in order to supply all of the elements required to bring the HomeBox to the marketplace, including hardware, SIM card, server infrastructure, interactive voice response, mobile and Web applications, back and front Office HMI, and billing system.
Introduction of the HomeBox benefits mobile network and service operators as it brings in new sources of revenue. The market, which is constantly on the lookout for new products and services, will regard the HomeBox as a strategic solution, which is able to stimulate growth and provide differentiation.
Myxyty, the French specialist in smart home systems, has planned a first commercial launch for HomeBox. This will complement the MyAlert range of home security solutions which is already in place.
M2M Solution’s HomeBox has simplified the concept of security by providing a range of benefits, including a real-time alert system in the form of SMS, MMS, e-mail, voice call or fax, the ability to control the system from any mobile phone, PC or Mac, and also, visualization of the home via a camera integrated into the HomeBox.
A great feature of the HomeBox is its ability to ensure uninterrupted service operation in case of power outages, or Internet connection failure. The back-up battery and a back up GSM-GPRS connection start functioning when the other systems fail.
M2M Solution, which is headquartered in France is a company that is dedicated to the integration of Machine to Machine solutions. In addition to integration, the company has expertise and competence in many areas.
