Laird designs and manufactures customized, performance-critical products for wireless and other advanced electronics applications. Its portfolio includes EMI shielding, thermal management products, mechanical actuation systems, signal integrity components, and wireless antenna solutions, as well as radio frequency modules and systems.
The online stock locator provides users with an electronic platform to directly access qualified distributors and their available inventory through the company's Web site. The system can identify all products based on partial or entire part numbers, as well as by global region of availability.
The solution adds ease and efficiency to obtaining such parts. Results from the part number search offer users several simple options from requesting a quote to, and in some cases, the ability to directly purchase the product online from the distributor(s) that best fits their needs, the company said.
Laird Technologies’ online stock locator system greatly increases the speed of response time by specifically fitting the order to the customer, enabling them to buy it now and get it now, says Ingrid Braeuninger, Laird Technologies director of sales and strategic accounts.
This latest integration provides customers with a direct method in which to view EMI and thermal management product inventory and order directly from the distributors, Braeuninger added.
“The online stock locator is a system that benefits online users looking for Wireless M2M product solutions,” Sean Dycus, Laird Technologies' telematics and wireless M2M channel manager, said in a statement. “The system identifies stock location with ease, allowing customers to directly purchase products from Laird Technologies and its select distributors.”
In December last year, Laird Technologies announced the opening of its new wireless M2M design center at Bangalore, India, a TMCnet
report said. The design center at Bangalore engages in total end-to-end product development features such as hardware engineering, firmware development, and Quality Assurance.
