The worldwide wireless mobile network of Telenor (News - Alert) Connexion, part of Telenor Group, the sixth largest mobile operator in the world and Axeda's on-demand platform for building enterprise-scale M2M solutions, are brought together by this alliance.
As a result, customers will have a complete communication-optimized platform to rapidly develop connected products.
Today more than 100 major organizations, including Abbott, EMC (News - Alert) and Diebold rely on the Axeda Platform to get value from their connected products.
This PaaS solution reduces complexity and costs and provides key capabilities such as condition monitoring, content management, location-based services, business rules, secure communication, and enterprise system integration that speed the creation of connected products.
A dedicated M2M organization and infrastructure, tailored products and support services for reliable M2M deployments have been built by Telenor Connexion. Its global mobile network is optimized for data traffic, thus supporting dependable services for both plastic SIM as well as the Telenor patented eSIM chip-based embedded solution.
