PROCON, a provider of mobile resource management or "MRM" products and services, announced its next-generation SysDevX system for mobile tracking.
SysDevX was first used in 2005 as the device management system for their growing Global Positioning System or "GPS" tracking business.
Millions of machine-to-machine or "M2M" devices are managed by SysDevX, the company said.
A number of new features are included in the new SysDevX system to compete in the current environment.
"PROCON currently uses SysDevX to manage more than 750,000 devices for its M2M and GPS tracking businesses, and we are adding tens of thousands of devices every month," Brian Boling, CEO, PROCON, said. "SysDevX is by far the most scalable system we have ever used and we could not run our business without it."
New SysDevX system manages end-to-end recurring subscriber billing in multiple plan types and currencies. It manages data allocation and subscription service plans, as well as service plan renewals and updates for units and accounts.
SysDevX also manages SIM card /cellular costs and service. SysDevX helps in addition, deletion and transfer of units within and between accounts. It configures new devices to create inventory for fulfillment and distantly attach units to accounts and provision for shipping.
Its Dealer Portal provides subset of customer service functionality. Resellers can manage and bill their customers by using SysDevX. Credit card billing or dealer invoicing can be done through integrated billing system. The system also offers track device returns or "RMA's," exchanges, profile symptoms and faults, the company said.
SysDevX gives detailed status, sales, margin and revenue reports. SysDevX tracks customer service and product release work items from entry to completion.
SysDevX provides a customer service dashboard for customer service and device performance monitoring to learn more about SysDevX.
Earlier this year Danfoss, which manufacturers of electronic and mechanical components and control systems for refrigeration and air conditioning, heating, and motion controls, announced an agreement with PROCON under which PROCON becomes the exclusive supplier of MRM products that will enable Danfoss to monitor refrigeration temperatures in real-time environments, either stationary or mobile.
