Through this partnership, the companies plan to leverage their complementary core competencies to strengthen the manufacturing value chain making it faster and easier to launch integrated M2M solutions for a wide variety of industries, company officials said.

The partnership combines Cinterion's award-winning, carrier approved modules and industry-leading engineering expertise with ACL's proven ability to provide best in class contract electronics manufacturing services, company officials said.

The companies plan to design and manufacture M2M wireless products that can be quickly integrated for a wide variety of applications and industries including medical, automotive, aerospace and more.

Arthur Woode, commercial director of Assembly Contracts, says in today's fast-paced, competitive marketplace, collaboration is crucial for continued growth and success.

"Over the last 21 years, Assembly Contracts has used a variety of suppliers for GSM-based products and we're thrilled to sign this exclusive partnership with the world leader in M2M modules."

Cinterion's robust product portfolio, intelligently designed for backward and forward evolution, provides their customers with the right combination of wireless features at the right price without the risk of costly end-of-life redesigns, Woode added.

"Our partnership with ACL allows both companies to optimize design, manufacturing and sales processes so customers can very quickly develop and implement new wireless products and solutions," Michael Wallon, vice president, Cinterion Wireless (News - Alert) Modules, Northern Europe, said.

Wallon further said the combined strength will enable both Cinterion and ACL to increase market share and expand the global M2M marketplace bringing the power of M2M technology to more and more enterprises.

Back in March Cinterion Wireless Modules announced it has strengthened its product base with the addition of land grid array technology to its automotive grade modules, TMCnet reported.
