Based in Jubail Industrial City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, GESCORP will now sell and support Elecsys products throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. All the product ranges of Elecsys will be showcased at the Middle East Corrosion Management Conference 2010 that will be held in Bahrain in coming days.

The proprietary equipment and services offered by Elecsys comprise of rugged wireless remote monitoring, mobile computing, and radio frequency identification or 'RFID' technologies, which offer high quality operation and reliability to the users. Additionally, the company also provides integrated displays and custom electronic assemblies to a number of industry sectors, such as energy production and distribution, agriculture, natural resource management, aerospace, safety & security systems, and transportation.

Primarily, GESCORP will help Elecsys in sales of its Radix and eXtremeTAG product lines, and will also support the company in development of custom system solutions for its industrial customers in the region. The Radix products includes the FW950 and FW500 rugged handheld computers, peripheral devices and data management software systems, while the eXtremeTAG products leverage company's patented radio frequency identification or 'RFID' technology so that enterprises can get reliable operation in harsh environments, which are quite common in multiple heavy process industries.

In the words of Mike Reed, executive vice president at Elecsys, Radix products are ideal for use in field asset inspection, maintenance, and logistics applications, as these units are highly configurable to meet specialized customer requirements and have been designed for applications where ruggedness and reliability are paramount. Reed noted that Elecsys' eXtremeTAGs survive exposure to high temperatures, high pressures, and harsh chemicals which makes them ideal for oil and gas pipelines, onshore and offshore wells, refineries, and terminals.

According to Karl Gemperli, President & Chief Executive Officer at Elecsys, the ruggedness and reliability of the Radix and eXtremeTAG products make them a perfect match for applications in the energy production industry in the Persian Gulf region. Gemperli continued that Elecsys is excited about its expansion into this key market and believe that GESCORP will be an excellent business partner throughout this region.

In November 2009, Elecsys Corporation received an order from sales partner Tecnologia Total of Bogota, Colombia for its NTG WatchdogCP II Remote Monitoring System. The order had been made for approximately $100,000 of WatchdogCP II remote monitoring units, and represented the company's first deployment of WatchdogCP II units in South America.
