Buoyed by factors such as expanded solutions portfolio, broadened 4G device selection, and M2M partnerships, Sprint (News - Alert) Business Markets Group continued to make strong contributions to Sprint's performance in the first quarter, the company said.
Sprint Business Markets Group boasts a dependable 3G mobile broadband network, 4G capabilities, a fast national push-to-talk network, and expertise in wireless-wireline integration. All these capabilities make Sprint well positioned to deliver productivity-enhancing solutions during the difficult economic times that are currently challenging their business customers.
The company states that it won important business market accounts in the first quarter because of its year-over-year improvement in net post-paid subscriber results in five years. Notable wins in the quarter included converged solutions, applications and handset sales to a cross-section of businesses from Kayentis, a Philadelphia-based software provider, the company said
"Sprint's Business Markets Group continued to build its brand around what customers want most -- end-to-end solutions, mobile broadband and M2M capabilities,' said Paget Alves (News - Alert), president-Sprint Business Markets Group. 'In all three categories, we gathered good momentum while broadening our product portfolio and delivering value-based pricing that customers have come to trust from BMG. Our intent is to continue to differentiate in the B2B marketplace, sharply contrasting our products"
Sprint's rapid deployment of the first commercially available 4G service from a national carrier in the United States continues to benefit business customers. The company is also introducing new products which continue to bring the 4G network to life for businesses. Sprint has also announced a key strategic partnership in the education vertical with Blackboard (News - Alert) Inc., to launch Blackboard Mobile Learn
Sprint Business Markets Group was formed in April 2009 and is composed of more than 4,000 sales, support, marketing and operations personnel focused on meeting the needs of enterprise, general business and public sector customers. Paget Alves, president of Business Markets Group, Sprint, finds the company to be in a unique position with regard to its technology deployment and applications capabilities.
