ResMed, Mach Communications and KORE Telematics Come Together to Deliver the World's First Wireless Sleep Telemetry Solution

KORE Telematics, the world's largest digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, has announced its partnership with Mach Communications, Australia's chief specialist M2M network provider and a prominent sleep-apnea equipment developer, manufacturer and distributor ResMed, Inc. Mach Communications Chief Executive Officer, Shane Murphy says that Australian companies are always looking for better ways to market their products overseas. He said that they have spent some time working along with ResMed and KORE Telematics to ensure that they could together deliver a seamless end-to-end solution that will enable ResMed to remotely provide services to its customers in the USA.  He believes that the trick with these implementations is to get the details right and to know where every byte of data will go and when it got there. They should be able to provide rapid follow up in two disparate time zones when extra support is needed.

Michael Farrell, senior vice president of the Global Sleep SBU at ResMed says that his company's design goal for the S9 Series was to make the most comfortable sleep apnea therapy in the global market and to 'fit' within a patient's home. He believes that they have achieved that goal with the revolutionary S9 Series. He added that way back in 2005, starting with their previous generation of sleep therapy device, ResMed was the innovator in that spaces by delivering the world's first wireless sleep telemetry solution to manage and follow up patients with OSA. He added that with the launch of their new S9 Series and its optional S9 wireless module, leveraging GSM/GPRS provisioning by Mach Communications and KORE Telematics, they will continue to provide customers with a global robust, tailored healthcare informatics solution.

Michael further said that adoption of the wireless patient management solution is progressing well and the customers are realizing the benefits of improved patient monitoring with better outcomes and reduced operational costs.
