Jasper Wireless, a provider of platform, applications, and design services to mobile network operators, and VimpelCom have collaborated to bring what they call "the first M2M global solution" to the Russian market.

 

The VimpelCom Group consists of telecommunications operators providing voice and data services and it provides services under the "Beeline" brand.

 

Beeline's M2M offering, which will be provided through the newly forged partnership, will run on Jasper Wireless' (News - Alert) complete service platform to profitably connect and manage consumer electronics as well as enterprise solutions.

 

Cost-effective design and embedded mobile devices have been enabled by Beeline's M2M Control Center. Jasper Wireless and VimpelCom have claimed that their combination has accelerated the market entry for a new generation of electronic devices, such as e-Readers, digital photo frames, cameras, personal navigation, mobile internet and gaming devices and has also brought automation and advanced controls to key verticals such as transport and logistics, banking and payment, security and tracking, telemetry and monitoring or e-health care.

VimpelCom's partnership with Jasper Wireless has enabled VimpelCom to join the Jasper Wireless community of M2M operator partners along with other partners that include AT&T (News - Alert), KPN, Rogers and Telcel. As a result, this network enables international OEMs and Service Providers to easily expand business and scale operations into new markets as they standardize on the Jasper Wireless M2M platform, reducing total cost of ownership.
