Sequoia Technology Launches a Range of GPRS and 3G Wireless Terminals


Sequoia Technology, who has been involved in electronics technology since 1986, launches a new range of GPRS and 3G wireless terminals - the SQ864 GPRS and SQ864-3G.
The company took advantage of the most recent in GPRS and 3G technology. They have developed an economical, high performance terminal that's ideal for a lot of M2M applications.
The new range of GPRS and 3G wireless terminals, SQ864 GPRS and SQ864-3G, are industrial terminal solutions ideal for the wireless M2M market. The SQ864 GPRS and SQ864-3G offer a high level of functionality. It is packed in a plug and play casing with a host of interfaces that enable you to integrate into your system with no trouble. Together with its compact size and highly developed features, these devices integrates well into a broad range of M2M applications like logistics, meter reading, remote monitoring and control, remote access, diagnostics, telemetry, vending and security.

Both GPRS and 3G wireless devices enable you to communicate with your equipment with CSD and GPRS services that are provided by the network provides. Quad-Band GPRS class 10 technology is used by the SQ864 GPRS and SQ864-3G. The technology operates all throughout the world. With extended temperature range, it can be utilized in extreme environments.
A high performance 3G module running on the 2100 UMTS band operating throughout Europe and numerous networks around the world offering connection speeds of up to 7Mbps is utilized by the SQ864-3G.
 
A TCO/IP stack that's integrated makes network services simpler. These network services include sending emails, the Internet, opening data socket connections via easy to use AT Commands, and connecting to a FTP server. The SQ864 family, with a wide supply of voltage range, 5-15v DC, it can be utilized with a broad range of embedded and real world solutions.
 
The SQ864-#G can be offered with Windows, Linux and WinCE CDC serial USB drivers. These drivers make the integration in present applications and standard RS232 serial easier.
