With M2M and 4G Evolution, Experience is Everything

My mentor tells me that I need to not think of my shows as events but experiences.

The experience is to elevate you above the status quo and to a level where the opportunity to participate is complimented by an overall entertaining atmosphere.

The M2M evolution event is not a standalone experience in my mind. It is enhanced by a number of discussions happening at ITEXPO (News - Alert) and 4G Wireless Evolution shows, held Oct. 4-6 in Los Angeles. As many of you know from my past we highlighted opportunities ahead of the market. Venture Capital types and carriers looked to our event to share a future and not just the present. The LA events October 4-6 will be like my former activities.

First of all let me share with you the activities going on with M2M. One Monday in advance of the show the CDMA Group is running a preconference that includes their members showing their ability to deliver services beyond the human’s interaction.

At M2M itself Jeff Smith, the chairman of TIA’s TR50 and CTO of Numerex (News - Alert) will be taking us to the next level of development for M2M.  Carriers such as Telnor, Iridium (News - Alert) and others will be sharing their experience in the development of new services and friends who have been building models for new solutions that roll up to deliver massive scale will be speaking.

The day of M2M, our Smart Product Ecosystem will take over the conversation by looking at the macro level of vertical markets first in the hall and then the next day in the sessions.

Smart Homes, Smart Autos, Smart Health and Smart Energy all of these equate to smart money for investment.

Smart Grid is hot right now as the utilities and the carriers all look to deliver more efficient energy information and communicate.

As for 4GWE, I want you to know that we are going to do something very experiential. Our show is very service provider focused with speakers from most of the major US carriers and some friends coming from around the world. We are streaming the event live for the rest of the world to join us and we are looking to have the discussion grow beyond just the sessions.

I am a firm believer that nothing replaces face to face, but the age of video has made it so that those who are geographically challenged can join us. After all we are events about Internet Communication. We should highlight the capabilities.

Speaking of highlight the capabilities on Monday we are looking at the Mobile Applications, not just how to make them, but how to monetize them. These days standing out from the pack takes a lot and finding a path to success is the goal.

Besides the reality is we have so much going on besides our own events that I am spending ten days in California to join my friends at GigaOm for Mobilize before our show and a post conference from CTIA after our events.

Join me for the experience.
