Pandigital announced the introduction of the Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame for Europe. The device is a wirelessly connected digital photo frame that accepts photos e-mailed from friends and family.
The frame connects via KPN MM Corporate Services’ wireless network. The company proposes to showcase the Photo Mail Frame at the IFA Trade Show in Berlin.
In a release Dean Finnegan, CEO and founder, Pandigital “With the Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame, it’s unbelievably simple and affordable to share and enjoy digital images via email to a digital photo frame. Consumers in Europe are also interested in streamlining the way their devices work with each other and the Pandigital Photo Mail frame is an excellent example of how devices can improve our lives.”
The easy to use Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame has its own dedicated e-mail address. On receiving new photos via e-mail the recipient can accept and view them. KPN transmits photos to 32 countries in Europe without roaming charges.
Kim Bybjerg, Managing Director of KPN, The Netherlands said, “Pandigital’s Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame ushers in a new era of how consumers will share and enjoy digital images.”
Bybjerg added that delivering photos to this frame is as easy as sending an email. This sharing of photos instantly enabled by KPN serves as a convenient way to stay close to friends and family.
The frame is a full-featured digital photo frame with a large 8-inch back-lit LED display in 800x600 resolution which makes the photos crisp and clear. Also the 4:3 aspect ratio preserves the original format of the photos, ensuring that they are not stretched or cropped. Pandigital’s memory optimization mode and the 1GB of internal memory in the frame allow consumers to enjoy up to 6400 images on the display.
Company sources explained that this new frame can also be loaded with photos via its 6-in-1 media card reader with Compact Flash, SC, XD, MS, MSPro and MMC or via a direct connection to a computer or digital camera.
Users can even rotate or resize photos besides being able to adjust brightness and color settings. The Pandigital Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame also can play back AVI video clips and MP3 music files.
Other features of the 8-inch digital photo frame are calendar, clock and alarm functions. It can also be programmed with specific on/off times so the frame will not use power unnecessarily.
The frame comes with a real wood frame, photo matting and a glass screen cover. This helps it to blend perfectly with other frames in the home.
Pandigital develops and markets digital entertainment products to utilize and share content like photos, video, published content, and audio by combining innovative technology with contemporary style and simplified user interfaces.
