Come September, Shaw communications Inc. customers will have an enriched TV viewing experience, as Shaw Direct will bring them upgraded satellite technology with the launch of the new Advanced HDPVR.
The new feature will allow customers to enjoy 175 hours of recording and also enable them to customize series recording with the smart PVR technology. In addition, the new interactive On-Screen guide acts as a platform for more interactive channels and also enables viewers to find out what programs are to be aired 14 days in advance.
Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications (News - Alert) Inc. said that a recent survey showed that almost all Shaw Direct Customers would refer them to a friend and the advancements in technology coupled with their 100 percent Canadian award-winning service would make Shaw Direct a leading choice.
Shaw Direct's new Advanced HDPVR is just one of the many enhancements that is being planned for customers. At present, viewers have access to more than 490 of their favorite channels, with 66 HD channels that include three pay-per-view channels, Oasis HD and others.
While covering the 2010 FIFA World Cup , South Africa tournament finals, Shaw Direct launched its 3D programming. In a couple of years, it proposes to provide additional HD and 3D content by adding a third satellite with high powered equipment, providing exceptional TV experiences in the future.
